Genertaing conceptual ideas for related graphic design items - Strike out (Energy drink name)


To start off with I created a logo that could be used for an energy drink. This logo called Strike out was my first idea that i came up with.



After choosing and editing the logo, I copied a plain can from the Internet and began to add the name and logo. I copied the can so that I could add a colour overlay. By choosing black it gives the can a sense of darkness. Then I downloaded bolt brushes and selected two different ones to be used in the can. After completing this first design I decided that the bolt looked to flat and didn't fit in with the can.

 
Here I have removed the lighting bolt and made the 'Strike' lettering bigger. I have also added flames to the bottom of the can giving it a bit more detail. The colour difference in the two words gives them both emphasis. The bright red connotes danger which would fit in with the theme of the energy drink.
 
 
After the can design was to make a t-shirt that people would wear. To star off with i copied the lighting bolts and flames that had been used in the can and transferred them to the t-shirt. Again black was my colour for the background as it makes the flames stand out.
 
 
Finally I added the writing on. By placing the'Out' text above the lighting bolts it looks interesting as the bolts seem to be coming out of the words.
 
 

 
 Next I have created my ticket for any events that the energy could be holding. I have carried the theme on from before with the black background, lighting bolts and flames.
 
 
Next I have added all the relevant information, like date, time and where the event is being held.
The barcode can be ripped off to make the ticket look better.

Understanding Existing Graphic Design Work For Media Products




The reason for choosing the 1 Up energy drink was because of the design of the container, as it comes in different colours for the flavour.





 
  
These two energy drinks caught my eye when researching because of the different colours used, they are bright and attractive.


The Lucozade website was one of the first websites I researched, this was because of all the vibrant colours used not just for the drinks but for the front page, it looks attractive and well organised.


Monster energy was another website I looked at this time it was because of all the videos used to attract the viewers attention, with different pictures of events that have passed and for the events that are coming up it would be useful for my web page.
 
 This is my favourite website as the colours used are vibrant and attractive, I like how the page is welcoming but has little information on the front page making you look around the website.

This was the final website I looked at, it is similar to the Monster, this time there is a lot happening on the page making people interested In what the company produces.

 
I like this can as it graffiti style, there has been different colours used for the different flavours, this could be useful when designing my three drinks cans



These last three types of drinks are all similar because of the colours used, once again they are all vibrant and look attractive for the buyers eye, they make you want to drink them. The designs for cans can be simple and still be effective or complicated and look to overwhelming. this is something to keep in mind when designing my cans.
